My Practice
My usual routine with new clients is to conduct an assessment or evaluation in the first two to three sessions. That is the time where I collect data and information, and it gives both of us the opportunity to see if the rapport is going to work well between us. It’s very important that you feel safe and comfortable with any therapist you choose.
I am usually available for appointments Monday through Thursday, with rare exception on Friday. My hours vary, but evening appointments are available.
I generally use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but integrate other theoretical models also.
My sessions are for 50 minutes. I generally see clients weekly, but after a period of time, we may mutually agree to space the duration as we see improvement.
I need 24-hours of notice on appointment cancellations. Insurance companies will not pay for sessions when you are not present, so you will be responsible for the full fee (unless we both agree that you were unable to attend due to circumstances which were beyond your control).
Payment is requested at the time the services are rendered. I do file insurance, but it is the client’s responsibility to be sure that any authorizations are accepted prior to your first appointment. I do accept MasterCard and Visa for your convenience.
